No. The coaching industry is not regulated. There is no official certification or license for you to become a professional coach or to start your own school in the USA.
The ICF is a voluntary organization that attempts to govern and regulate coaching. Although legally, they have no power to do this, within the coaching profession, they are viewed as the strongest of organizations.
Certified Coach Trainer
No, this is not a Life Coach Training and Certification program.
To be certified as a coach you will have to register for our coach training and certification program.
While being certified is preferred, it not necessary.
As long as you know how to coach and understand the foundations of coaching, you can be successful at starting your own school.
In addition when you are paid in full you will get access to the resell rights of the foundation and solution-focused program. You can study and learn from those materials.
The course is 4 modules and at your own pace.
You can go through the course quickly, however, setting up your school is a process.
You have unlimited access. However, if you want certification all work is due within one-year from the date of registration or you will have to pay a renewal fee.
You will need a computer with access to the web.
You should be able to stream videos and download/upload materials like photos and PDF documents.
For the live calls you will need to be able to access Zoom.
And lastly, you should have experience with navigating the Internet and online learning platforms.
