Minn and Suzanne, peptides and hyaluronic acid are too big to penetrate the skin, which is why Dr Baumann believes they are useless. But there are a few independent studies that show that peptides may work even when left on the surface of the skin by signalling to skin cells how to behave. This is just a theory. As for hyaluronic acid, some brands use forms with a smaller molecular structure that are easier to deliver into the skin. Most of the time, though, hyaluronic acid stays on the surface where it only moisturizes skin.

Does she really mean hyaluronic acid and peptides are useless? Or is this in some other context I miss?
